General

Vastint Hospitality develops lifestyle hotels, mainly under the Moxy brand. In addition to the lifestyle hotels, we also focus on residential projects. We act both as developer as well as long term investor across Europe. The hotels are leased to operators and are retained in the investment portfolio of Vastint.

The rooms of our hotels and residential buildings are produced with modular prefabricated concept in our factory in Italy. After production these rooms are shipped to site and assembled as part of the complete building.

Currently we have 30 completed hotels, several hotels under construction and a long list of acquired sites for future construction in our portfolio.

Organization

The head office is located in Amsterdam, yet our activities are undertaken in various countries across Europe.
The working environment is international and the average age of the workforce is relatively low. Currently 40 people work with us, most of them in the Amsterdam office.

Job description Accountant

– Maintaining accurate and complete books of the company;
– Reconciliation of ledger and related subledgers;
– Various responsibilities in areas of Accounts receivable, Intercompany, financial matters relating to our hotel operators;
– Perform the monthly closing procedures of our books;
– Supporting the financial controller in the monthly closing activities, data analysis and performing other ad-hoc requests;
– Coordinating activities of third-party tax advisors (CIT, VAT); assisting with tax audits;
– Prepare figures needed for fiscal tax returns and monitor compliance with fiscal deadlines;
– Keep up to date our knowledge on local tax rules and impact of any changes on our (financial) process.

Education and experience
– Degree in (business) economics and/or accounting;
– No less than 5 years working experience in accounting roles in different industries, tax accounting is a plus;
– Experience with ERP accounting software;
– Strong English knowledge. Dutch + another language is a plus.

Job description Assistant Procurement Manager

– Support in creating tenders and managing contracts;
– Gather and analyse markets and quotes to confirm accuracy and check new opportunities;
– Work with other departments (such as project managers and architects) to analyse material specifications of existing and alternative supply options;
– Build relationships with suppliers to mitigate risks and resolve issues;
– Analyse spend for the identification of improvement opportunities;
– Develop value-added processes that assist in establishing company and group procurement standards;
– Develop monthly reports and prepare analysis to guide procurement procedures;
– Create purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites;
– Become proficient in systems used (Unit4, Docstream, and others)

Skills required

We are looking for a pragmatic, enterprising young professional who possesses the drive to earn money for Vastint. To be eligible for this position you will need to have a good knowledge of procurement processes, preferably combined with a background in or a strong affinity for construction-related products and processes. We are seeking for a professional who is looking for a role with an international character within a growing and learning organization. Someone who is open to other cultures, who is able to search for the best deals in a creative way, who is not afraid to make new contacts and to tread unknown paths. This role requires entrepreneurship, decisiveness, courage and perseverance.

Job description Assistant Project Manager

– To ensure that programme/project information and reporting is set up in a way that supports the requirements of the company;
– To ensure that all project and legal  information is relevant, up to date and accurate and appropriately filed and referenced (digitally and manually);
– To support the project managers with reporting requirements;
– To support the project managers in the negotiation and documentation of all commercial agreements;
– To assist the project managers in the minuting of project meetings;
– To provide administrative and organisational assistance to the project managers;
– To assist the project managers in the production of regular project reports for the management team- To assist the project managers on the; handover of projects from the contractor to the hotel operator including the recording of the snagging items.

Skills required

– Able to work independently;
– Good communicator, verbal and written;
– Accurate, close attention to detail;
– Numerate;
– Good organizational skills;
– Honest, trustworthy;
– Hands-on mentality.

Education and experience
– Degree qualified or equivalent;
– Preferable real estate background;
– Fluent English and excellent written English is essential. Dutch and German not mandatory but appreciated. Any other language would be considered a plus.
