Vastint acquired a 3,300m² site in Chester for the development of a ca.170 room Moxy hotel. Chester is an historic Roman city with walls surrounding the oldest parts of the city centre, these walls date back almost 2,000 years. Vastint’s site is a short walk along the canal, past its many bars and restaurants to the city walls and the oldest part of the city centre.
Today Chester has a strong tourist market, a growing business market and is a well known venue for horse racing. In March Colliers International published its annual report, this report listed Chester as the hottest spot in the UK for hotel development.
