Turin was the first Italian capital from 1861 to 1865. The city has a rich culture and history and being known for its numerous art galleries, restaurants, churches, palaces, opera houses, piazzas, museums and other venues. Turin is also well known for its Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Neo-classical, and Art Nouveau architecture and not to forget Juventus F.C. and FIAT. In the city centre, Vastint Hospitality has acquired the old Porta Susa Train Station building, a heritage listed property dated from 1856, which will be converted into the main entrance and public area of a new hotel. This property will include public functions like restaurant, gym, meeting and conference spaces. The 200 plus rooms will be a new construction and will connect to the public areas of the existing property.
