On 27 May Vastint Hospitality purchased an office building and car parking in Piazzale XXV Aprile 6, next to Verona railway station. The property is located just a stone’s throw away from Porta Nuova, the gate to the historic city centre. Verona is one of the main tourist destinations in northern Italy, owing to its artistic heritage, several annual fairs, shows, and operas, such as the lyrical season in the Arena, the ancient amphitheatre built by the Romans.
Vastint intends to seek permission to redevelop the site for a MOXY hotel.
