Vastint Hospitality’s Moxy Plymouth has opened its doors, offering modern accommodation in the south of the UK. The opening was celebrated together with the operator Hotel Co 51.
The new hotel is situated on a prominent corner of the recently completed Millbay Boulevard which is a brand new urban landscape, linking the city centre with the Great Western Dock, located in the Millbay area of Plymouth’s costal quarter.
The 200-bed hotel offers 10 deluxe rooms with views towards the coast that are suitable for families and are fully accessible.
Moxy Plymouth has a considerable communal area looking over the new boulevard, this area also houses two meeting rooms. The hotel also includes an gym for use by hotel guests.
Both the interior design and the architectural appearance of the hotel link back to the local area. The careful material selection and modelling of the façade take influence from the neighboring Duke of Cornwall hotel. The interior design links to coastline, local nautical interests, and constellations through clever lighting design installations.
