Vastint Latvia continues preliminary work on Mārupe project

Vastint Latvia SIA has signed a contract with SIA CBF Ļ-KO for the construction of a local traffic lane between Kalnciema and Upesgrīvas Streets along Kārļa Ulmaņa Avenue, where the office park Business Garden Rīga and the residential project Lindenholma are soon to be built. The work includes installing the lane, linking it to Kārļa Ulmaņa Avenue and to the streets of the development site, as well as creating a sidewalk and bike path. The work is to be completed by August 2015.

The new lane will ensure rapid and easy access to the Vastint Latvia SIAdevelopment site, creating all prerequisites for the company to begin construction of the Business Garden Rīga office park and the Lindenholma residential project. External networks are being installed in the area at this time, and the work is to be completed this summer.

Co-financing for the local lane has been provided by the real estate developer Domuss, which plans to develop a multifunctional project in the adjacent territory of Kārļa Ulmaņa Avenue.

The local lane will have a bus stop at Lielā Street for future public transportation routes.  The territory will be improved for people with disabilities, in accordance with recommendations on accessibility from Apeirons – the non-governmental organisation of people with disabilities. Dendrology studies were conducted on the development site, including the area for the local traffic lane. Trees were inventoried to determine those that are valuable and should be preserved, as well as those thatmay be cut down during construction. Specialists will help to transplant valuable trees to the green zone foreseen in the project. New trees will be planted between the local lane and the sidewalk/bike path.

The local traffic lane will be developed by Vastint Latvia SIA, which is part of the Vastint Group – an international real estate organisation with 25 years of experience that has been actively present in Latvia since 2003 (known as SIA Larix Property until September 2014). SIA BRD Projekts designed the project, and the work will be supervised by the Transportation Department of the Rīga City Council and SIA Aqua-Brambis.
