Business Garden Vilnius welcomes new tenant

The Lithuanian branch of the insurance company BTA Baltic Insurance Company (BTA) is relocating its head office. At the end of this year, the company will move to Business Garden Vilnius.

BTA Insurance and Vastint Lithuania have signed an agreement for the lease of 2,100 m2 of office space. It is planned that about 230 BTA employees will be working at these premises.

BTA is planning to seize the opportunity and to create a new, modern office concept at the business park, which could be later adopted by BTA offices in other countries.

“The pandemic period has changed our working habits – we have learned to work from anywhere, and as a consequence the office space perception has changed. Following these tendencies we started drafting the new BTA office concept which focuses on cooperation between teams, promotion of creativity, introduction of hybrid work model, ergonomic workplaces and the encouragement of innovative attitude,” says Tadeuš Podvorski, head of BTA Insurance.

Managing Director of Vastint Lithuania Kęstutis Vedeckis says that he believes that the team of BTA Insurance will find a welcoming home for both professional activities and informal communication at the new premises.

“We offer a wide range of services at this office complex – from fitness areas to spaces for formal and informal company events. The decision of BTA to become our tenant is an important approval of our work. We are sure that BTA will be able to create the best working conditions for its employees at the new premises and will contribute to the development of the internal community culture of the business park,” says K. Vedeckis.

Business Garden Vilnius

Business Garden Vilnius is located on a site of 6,2 ha near the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO and the Lazdynai forest. During the first stage of the project development, two office buildings with 42,000 m2 of office and retail space have been constructed.

Basketball, football, volleyball and beach tennis courts, sports and fitness centre, pedestrian and cycling paths have been erected at the business park. Moreover, the green areas surrounding the property are the largest among all the business centres in Lithuania.

  1. Podvorski says that the office complex has impressed him with eco-friendly solutions, innovative systems, comfortable surroundings, well-developed facilities, convenient public transport and the modern space arrangement concept.

“We are planning to cultivate the atmosphere of community and team building at the refurbished office.  Working on the same floor and the applied hybrid work model will enable daily work dynamics – the employees will be able to select the most convenient and appealing office spaces,” adds T. Podvorski.

One of the greenest business parks in Europe

According to the head of Vastint Lithuania K. Vedeckis, the current tenants at the business park are energy companies Amber Grid and Ignitis Group, USA IT company Rocket Software.

Lease agreements have also been signed with the restaurant iLunch, recruitment company Alliance for Recruitment, company Studio Moderna representing the brands of Top Shop, Delimano and Dormeo, fitness studio FØRMA, Medical Diagnostic Centre, coffee shop Caffeine, logistics company CargoGO and other companies.

“We have noticed that the pandemic has increased the demand for the spaces which focus on the health and wellbeing of employees. Our tenants care about sustainability performance and in this respect Business Garden Vilnius prides itself on being among the ten greenest business centres in Europe,” says K. Vedeckis.

This year, Business Garden Vilnius received international recognition for implemented sustainability solutions. With 95 points of the international building certification system LEED, the business centre has received the highest – Platinum – status. There are merely 30 buildings in the world and 10 in Europe awarded the same or higher point rate. Such a high position hasn‘t been achieved by any other newly built office building in the Baltics so far.
