First lease agreement for Business Garden Riga has been signed

Vastint Latvia has signed a lease agreement with Patnis un partneri SIA for the use of space in a first-phase building of Business Garden Riga at Malduguņu iela 1. The private daycare centre Patnis will open its doors in the Autumn of this year.

“Business Garden Riga is being developed not only as an office building camplex with a broad array of services, but also as an integral part of the local community,” explains Līga Daniļeviča, Marketing Manager at Vastint Latvia. “In signing the first lease agreement with a daycare centre (an admittedly non-typical tenant in an office park), we are breaking the stereotype of an office park being a monofunctional area with limited access. We are creating an environment that is modern and people-oriented, that is open and accessible, and that brings added value to the local community. The first phase will also see the opening of a daytime restaurant and a café, as well as a spacious green zone between the buildings, specially designed for both rest and recreation. Phase two will include a fitness club, cafés, and meeting areas on the buildings’ first floors”.

The daycare centre on the first floor will take up 635 m2, which will allow for the centre to welcome 92 children in its new space.

“Ever since Patnis started out in 1994, we’ve endeavoured to continually progress, both in terms of our educational programme and in our physical environment – it is important for us that our pupils have a pleasant and light-filled indoor space that is conducive to learning as well as an outdoor space that is green, spacious, and allows for both play and exploration,” remarks Inguna Vārtiņa, the principal of Patnis preschool.

About Business Garden Riga

With almost 70,000 m2 of office space, Business Garden Riga is unique in its focus upon the individual in its provision of a comfortable and qualitative environment for the well-being of employees: a 1,7 ha-large green zone with sports and recreational zones, and a wide variety of services to make daily life easier to navigate – a restaurant, cafés, meeting areas on the buildings’ first floors, and a parcel delivery terminal, among others. The office complex was designed following sustainability principles, and LEED-certified materials were used in its construction and finishing.

Construction of the first phase of Business Garden Riga – which consists of two office buildings with more than 14,000 m2 of space, 200 bicycle parking spots, and 109 underground and 504 above-ground parking spaces – is currently ongoing. The first buildings are planned to be completed this summer.
