On 28 March 2019, at the award ceremony for “Best Structure in Latvia 2018”, the first stage of Magdelēnas kvartāls received the highest recognition from construction industry experts who deemed it “Best New Residential Building 2018”.
A joint endeavour of 20 public organisations in the construction business, this was the 21st year of the awards programme. Its aim is to promote the quality of construction processes by evaluating projects according to clearly defined quality criteria. The evaluation of construction projects is carried out by a panel of 50 experts who have been delegated by 26 state and public construction organisations.
The first phase of construction of Magdelēnas kvartāls can now boast with having received three awards recognising its high quality and sustainability: “Best Commercial Object” in the category “Most Sustainable Project in Latvia 2017”; 1st place in the “Latvian Construction Industry Annual Awards 2018” competition in the category “New Residential Building”; and now, 1st place in the “Best Structure in Latvia 2018” competition in the category “Best New Residential Building”.
