Vastint Poland has received a building permit for the Portowo residential project in Poznan. The estate will be built on the premises of the historic River Shipyard on the Warta River in Starołęka. The project will begin with the construction of 378 of the 1,800 planned flats with complete road infrastructure, development of green areas, and public utility facilities. Construction work is planned to start in 2022, although the sale of ready-to-live-in apartments will not commence until the completion of the construction process, foreseen in the second half of 2024.
Portowo is one of the largest developments planned by Vastint on the residential market in Poland. On the currently undeveloped post-industrial land, with an area of 15 hectares, a modern, diverse residential and service development will be built. The comfort of future residents was among the most important priorities that were considered when designing the estate. Therefore, as part of the development, a number of facilities will be built to meet the needs of functioning in a large city, especially in the areas of education, childcare, health care, public transport, shops, services, sports, recreation and leisure, utilizing the Warta’s potential, says Roger Andersson, Managing Director of Vastint Poland.
Portowo will be built in the vicinity of Hetmańska Street and the Starołęka roundabout, which is an important transport junction for the right-bank section of Poznan. The proximity of the extensive tram and bus network makes the location perfectly connected to the centre of Poznan. The entire scheme will ultimately comprise 47 buildings with nearly 1,800 apartments. These will include both small, comfortable studios and two-room units, as well as three- and four-room family flats, and large, five-room apartments. The development of the estate will begin with the construction of eleven residential buildings of varying heights containing 378 flats. Construction will start this year, once the general contractor selection procedure has been completed.
The sales offer for the first pool of flats will be presented only after the completion of the construction process, which will extend over about two years. All apartments will be finished to a standard that will allow buyers to move in immediately after purchase.
