Courtyard by Marriott hotel

The Courtyard by Marriott hotel at Atlas ArenA Amsterdam will have a total floor area of around 8,950 m², with 176 guestrooms, four large conference rooms, two boardrooms and a wide range of catering facilities. Following the opening, which is expected to be in the spring of 2015, the hotel will be a great asset for visitors to Atlas ArenA Amsterdam.

The hotel has been designed by Oresti Sarafopoulos of de Architekten  Cie. Through his involvement in the development of the Atlas ArenA Amsterdam master plan, the overall architectural vision has been continued in the same manner. The construction of the hotel will literally build on the success of Atlas ArenA Amsterdam.

The first hotel in the Netherlands with a BREEAM-NL certificate

The Courtyard by Marriott at Atlas ArenA Amsterdam is the first hotel in the Netherlands to be awarded a BREEAM-NL New Buildings certificate by the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC).

BREEAM-NL is well-known in the market as a sustainability quality mark for large office buildings and districts, but never before has the design of a hotel been assessed according to BREEAM-NL. The Courtyard by Marriott hotel at Atlas ArenA Amsterdam achieved the sustainability score even though there was not yet a specific quality mark for hotels, and so it was not possible to award a credit score for certain elements.
