Moxy Edinburgh Airport reopened its doors

Today Moxy Edinburgh Airport reopened its doors. The 230-bedroom hotel is open to key workers, and will be ready to welcome all guests back when Scottish Government restrictions are lifted. The reopening was celebrated together with its operator Hotel Co 51.

Hotel General Manager and Captain Julie Wilson says “We are so happy to be reopening the hotel to key workers from March 8th. After 11 months of closure, the team and I cannot wait to bring the thoughtful, spirited and fun concept of a Moxy hotel back to life albeit with restrictions in place. Our food and drink options have been adjusted to comply with government guidelines, offering fresh products for all keyworkers staying with us.”

This will mean that every Moxy hotel in Scotland is back open again with Moxy Aberdeen Airport and Moxy Glasgow Merchant City reopening in the last 5 weeks and the brand new 262-bedroom Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge Hotel opening on February 17th.

Area Sales Manager UK North, Derek MacMillan added “This has been an incredible 5 weeks. Opening every Moxy hotel in Scotland and opening Moxy Edinburgh Airport to key workers on March 8th is a fantastic feeling. It will be great to welcome everyone back when Scottish Government restrictions allow us to.”

To celebrate the reopening, Moxy Edinburgh Airport has a Welcome Back promotion available on www.marriott.com that offers a 25% discount on stays and includes a complimentary breakfast.

For the reopening new COVID-19 safety and hygiene procedures have been put in place to comply with Government guidelines to guarantee guests’ and employees’ safety and wellbeing. Consisting of in-house and outside experts in food and water safety, hygiene and infection prevention, and hotel operations, Moxy Edinburgh Airport is strictly following Marriott Cleanliness Council cleaning and safety standards.
