Residence Inn and Moxy Dortmund city achieve LEED Gold

Yet another Vastint project received LEED certification! Vastint Hospitality’s dual-brand hotel Moxy and Residence Inn Dortmund city achieved LEED Gold.

The hotel is located next to the iconic “Dortmunder U”, a former brewery and today a well-known center for art and creativity. The city centre with its main shopping streets, railway station, and the German Football Museum are all within walking distance.

The Moxy and Residence Inn are situated in one building and have a total of 13,500 m2. Moxy Dortmund offers 191 bedrooms and Residence Inn offers 120 rooms.

The hotels offer a stylish lobby, with communal working space and intimate meeting rooms and social area, which make the hotels perfect for both leisure and business travelers.

LEED is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. LEED certification provides independent verification of a building’s green features, allowing for the design, construction, operations and maintenance of resource-efficient, high-performing, healthy, cost-effective buildings. LEED is the triple bottom line in action, benefiting people, planet and profit.

A standard of LEED Gold, or higher, is being sought for all further Moxy hotel projects.
