On 23 May 2019, the developer of the hotel building, Vastint Latvia, commissioned the first Marriott hotel in Latvia and the largest Marriott in the Baltics – AC Hotel by Marriott Riga. It is planned that the hotel will open to guests in June 17 this year. The multinational hotel operating company Legendhotels will manage the running of the hotel.
Known as the Albert Hotel since 2005, renovation on the hotel building began in early 2018 to meet the high standards required by AC Hotels by Marriott.
The four-star AC Hotel by Marriott Riga will provide guests with 239 comfortable and modern rooms. Also available will be four excellently lit multifunctional conference rooms on the building’s top floor, relaxation zones, a restaurant, and a fitness centre. Taking into consideration the well-being of both hotel guests and the city’s inhabitants, the front of the hotel features relaxation zones surrounded by greenery.
The hotel management company Legendhotels Latvia has signed a 20-year franchise agreement with Marriott International.
