Vastint Netherlands has concluded a lease with ING Bank N.V. for approx. 12,000 m2 divided between two buildings at Hullenbergweg in Amsterdam Zuidoost, together with 160 parking spaces in the basement car park. The complex on Hullenbergweg consists of three office buildings in total and is now almost fully let. ING Bank will move here in Summer.
During the autumn of 2016 Vastint bought these three office buildings with a total floor area of almost 20,000 m2 for redevelopment. At the start of 2017 the adjacent building at Hullenbergweg 1-3, with a floor area totalling 5,600 m², was also acquired. During the coming years Vastint will renovate and redevelop the entire area. The office buildings that ING will occupy were completed 1 February 2018. This will leave just 800 m2 of office space available to let.
During the coming years Amsterdam Zuidoost will be undergoing a far-reaching metamorphosis into a versatile, high-quality and multifunctional district. Vastint is redeveloping its buildings on Hullenbergweg with this in mind to create a complex offering residential, office and retail space together with leisure amenities.
The three existing office buildings will have an attractive enclosed garden linking them to their surroundings. As with all of Vastint’s projects, the aim of the redevelopment is to achieve the highest feasible sustainability certificates. For the offices this means the BREEAM Excellent and Energy Label A+.
On the adjacent plot, Hullenbergweg 1-3, two buildings will be developed with space for a total of approx. 120 appartments (in total 9,000 m2), office space (in total 17,00 m2), retail/leisure facilities and a parking garage. The provisional schedule is for these two buildings to be completed and available to let early 2021.
Vastint has broad international experience with multifunctional developments and redevelopments such as this one. The successful Atlas ArenA Amsterdam, which is fully let and just 5 minutes away, is a good example in the Netherlands.
