SwedeCenter is starting the construction process related to the project called Gdynia Waterfront at President’s Bay in Gdynia. PORR (Polska) is the general contractor of the first phase of the project. The final completion of the construction is planned for the middle of 2015.
Gdynia Waterfront is a multi-functional project which will feature commercial and residential space as well cultural and leisure facilities. The total area of the complex, to be located on a 3.6-hectare plot near Kosciuszko Square in Gdynia, will amount to approximately 90,000 m2.
First of all, the space between Gemini Centre and Sea Towers, in the direct vicinity of the President’s Bay, will be developed with the construction of an office building and a Courtyard by Marriott hotel.
The planned 11-storey building will feature 10,000 m2 of modern office space. On the ground floor, along the pedestrian walkway linking Aleja Jana Pawla with Sea Towers, coffee shops and restaurants will be opened. The project was designed in line with sustainable development principles. The environment-friendly solutions to be used meet the LEED certification requirements.
The Courtyard by Marriott hotel, to be operated by Scandinavian Hospitality Management AS, will provide business clients with all necessary services and a wide range of amenities and utmost comfort. The nine-storey hotel will comprise 201 hotel rooms and a 650 m2 conference centre. A restaurant with a direct view of the President’s Bay will be located on the ground floor.

The first phase of Gdynia Waterfront was designed by FORT architect studio in Gdansk who was selected through an architectural design competition. The general contractor is PORR (Polska).
