SwedeCenter signed a lease with Nordea Bank Polska for space in the office building being developed in the first phase of the Gdynia Waterfront complex. The building will be located close to SeaTowers and will serve as the bank’s headquarters.
“Our bank’s units have been interspersed in three different locations in the Tri-City area so in 2009 we took the decision to combine them to one location. An attractive modern building located at the waterfront will certainly ensure good working conditions in the future”, says Sławomir Żygowski, President of the Management Board of Nordea Bank Polska.
“We welcome the first tenant in the Gdynia Waterfront complex. We are certain that it will be a comfortable and inspiring work place for all bank employees, in particular because the project was designed in line with environment-friendly development principles to meet the top LEED certification standards”, said Roger Andersson, Managing Director of SwedeCenter.
An 11-storey office building with a retail part on the ground floor and the adjacent Courtyard by Marriott hotel constitute the first phase of the multi-functional complex called Gdynia Waterfront. The total area of the project, located on a 3.6 hectare plot in the vicinity of Kosciuszko Square in Gdynia, will amount to approximately 90,000 m2. In addition to offices and a hotel, the centre will feature retail space, apartments and cultural and leisure facilities. The first stage of the project is planned to be finalised in 2015.
