On 27 June 2014 the topping-out ceremony took place in the hotel building forming part of the Gdynia Waterfront project. The project is being developed on the waterfront in Gdynia between the Sea Towers and Kosciuszko Square by President’s Bay. The works are planned to be completed in mid-2015.
At the present stage of the project, a Courtyard by Marriott hotel, to be operated by Scandinavian Hospitality Management, and an office building fully leased by PKO Bank Polski, are being constructed. The 11-storey office building will offer more than 10,000 m2 of leasable area. The nine-storey hotel building will accommodate 201 hotel rooms and a conference centre. Coffee shops and restaurants are planned on the ground floors of both buildings.
Ultimately, the Gdynia Waterfront complex is intended to have an area of 90,000 m2. It will comprise office and residential buildings, retail stores and service points. The concept assumes that a number of cultural and leisure facilities will be composed into the complex.
