Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge
The redevelopment of this centrally located site in Edinburgh, is a lively and new mixed-use neighbourhood. In the first phase, Vastint delivered a Moxy hotel and restaurant fronting a new civic space, together with a landmark 5.532 m² office building.
Vastint Hospitality started construction of the first phase of the New Fountainbridge project in April 2019. The first phase is now complete and Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge opened its doors on February 17th, 2021.
The 262-room Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge is designed to inspire creativity and offers space for both business and leisure travelers. The bedrooms are stylishly designed, offering features such as 42-inch flat-screen televisions with Chromecast, USB posts as well as UK and European plug sockets.
Moxy is a sustainable hotel choice in Edinburgh. The hotel is now certified as LEED Gold status, the highest achievement in the prestigious building program. This makes Moxy hotels the best choice in Edinburgh for eco-conscious travelers.
Besides the Moxy all-day dining restaurant, the city center hotel offers 'Rooftop 51' a rooftop bar with views of Edinburgh Castle as well as a cinema screen and outdoor terrace.
The hotel also comprises a fitness centre and multiple meeting rooms.
Location
Located besides Edinburgh’s financial district and next to Union Canal, the office space attracts a mix of both corporates and small businesses to support Edinburgh’s thriving creative and tech sectors. The site used to be home to the North British Rubber Company and Scottish and Newcastle Breweries. The video on the project website shows how the area is changing rapidly.
